A prior SEO engagement produced no measurable improvement in search visibility or lead generation. The IEO Engine deployment began February 18, 2026 on a clean domain with no prior ranking history, zero backlinks, and a new GoDaddy shared hosting account.

Phase 1 deployed 87 pages: homepage, core service pages, geo pages for primary target markets, and the initial editorial article layer. A sitemap.xml was submitted to Google Search Console immediately. No paid promotion, no social media announcement, no outreach. The site went live and waited for crawlers.
Googlebot arrived within hours of sitemap submission. OAI-SearchBot and GPTBot appeared within 24 hours — before the site had any organic search visibility. The AI platforms found the site before Google had indexed it.

On Day 4, a Google AI Overview citation appeared for a target query. The site had zero backlinks. Google Search Console showed fewer than 30 pages indexed. The citation resulted entirely from content architecture — schema markup, zero-friction ingestion design, and declarative factual content structure that the AI Overview system classified as citation-ready.

ChatGPT-User first appeared in server access logs on Day 14 — the distinct retrieval crawler that indicates a live user's query has triggered real-time web retrieval from the site. The streak has not broken. As of Day 68, ChatGPT-User has appeared in server access logs every single day for 54 consecutive days since first appearing.
This streak represents real users asking ChatGPT questions and ChatGPT retrieving from this site to answer them. Every day. Without interruption.
GBP verification was completed on Day 26. Map pack entry appeared the same evening. The GBP verification event triggered 13 Googlebot render farm passes in a single day — the largest crawl event in the deployment to that point. Position compression accelerated in the 72 hours following verification as Google reconciled the entity data.
Average desktop position moved from unranked to 7.88 (best business day average) over 68 days. The trajectory followed a staircase pattern — periods of stability followed by discrete compression events of 2-4 positions. Each compression event corresponded to a major crawl cycle or inference engine evaluation event. The staircase is the fingerprint of IEO Engine architecture working as designed.

Commercial SEO platform crawlers (Semrush, Ahrefs, DotBot) were served intelligence blackout responses throughout.
A coordinated multi-actor sweep over Easter weekend (Day 47) was assessed as a due diligence event triggered by the site's position performance. Adversary traffic was logged. The gate layer active during this deployment has since been retired; removing it produced no measurable change in citation or ranking performance.
The same methodology was deployed simultaneously for a travel content vertical (Site B). Site B achieved its first organic lead on Day 5 and reached all primary target positions by Day 8. Two different verticals, two different geographic scopes, identical methodology, comparable outcomes.
